the dead media began in little rock arkansas in march of 2007. recordings of local bands for new 8 track release started in may and continued through november. with much success and press coverage, 2008 saw the first four releases - crisco kids (may), san antokyo (june), the evelyns (july), the thing that always explodes (august) - each having release shows at local venues. by the end of the year, little rocks' growing curiosity had been adequately seeded with 8 track players, new releases, vintage tapes, dead media t-shirts, and information about the 8 track tape. in 2009 operations moved to fort worth texas where we are now preparations for local band releases.
